
Daytona, 24 January- Scott Tucker (Ferrari of San Francisco) was the winner of the first race of the season in the North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series. Having started from the third row, Tucker came out on top after a very close fight with the Mexican, Ricardo Perez (Ferrari of Houston) which went on almost all race long. The third step of the podium featured the Colombian Carlos Gomez (Ferrari of San Francisco.) In the Coppa Shell, Jon Becker was the clear victor, starting from pole position and keeping the lead all the way to the checkered flag. The other two podium positions went to Chris Ruud and Ugo Colombo. Daytona,25 January- The Canadian Damon Ockey (Ferrari of Ontario) and the American Chris Ruud came away winners of the second race of the Ferrari Challenge North America in the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell respectively. The second race of the first round of the season was never easy to call. The lead changed hands several times, with a three way fight between Ockey, Henrik Hedman and Gregory Romanelli, who eventually finished second and third. In the Coppa Shell, Jon Becker and Chris Ruud switched places compared to the first race, with this time the latter getting the better of his team-mate at the checkered flag, while the third step of the podium was occupied by James Weiland (Ferrari of San Francisco.) | ![]() |
